Absolut Vodka has launched a creative marketing campaign that will bring together emerging artists from across the globe. The Absolut Blank initiative which launches on July 20, comprises of 18 artist collaborations, from different disciplines including; drawing, painting, sculpting, print making, film making and digital art. An outline of the vodka bottle is make into a blank canvas to inspire a new generation of artists to fill it with creativity.
They will create films, print and outdoor ads, consumer events and a digital piece that will evolve on mobile phones. Adam Boita, marketing manager at Pernod Ricard UK, says: “We brought together artist collaborators from a variety of disciplines and watched the journey from pure white canvas to exceptional pieces of art. “The result depicts how artists and creativity are inspired through Absolut.”
Television advertising will air on ITV1, SKY, Channel 4, More4, Film4 and E4 and will be supported with outdoor advertising. Absolut has had previous creative collaborations with artists such as Andy Warhol, Keith Haring, Damien Hirst, Douglas Gordon and Louise Bourgeois.
